Don Namor Press

Founded in 2004 and operating in association with kallkwik business design + print, Don Namor Press is a micropublisher and information service devoted to the works of historian, anomalist, and archaeologist Roman Golicz.

As a historian, Roman Golicz has worked as a researcher for numerous historians in addition to publishing articles for established journals and magazines, some of which are archived at History Today. This website includes  articles and academic papers on medieval and Victorian history where the author is the copyright holder. Readers are free to use these for the purposes of private research on providing the author with the courtesy of a citation. Note: whilst copyright permission has been granted for the author wherever possible, researchers who publicly quote either copyrighted or previously unpublished documentary sources must make additional arrangements with either the copyright holder or the archive concerned.

Anomalist
As an anomalist with a lifelong interest in fringe, neglected, or otherwise unresearched topics with a strong historical flavour, Roman Golicz publishes the occasional extended monograph on unusual subjects related to the county of Surrey and its borders. These may be as diverse as genuine zoological anomalies such as The Surrey Puma and more ‘paranormal’ phenomena such as Spring-heeled Jack. These monographs are all available for purchase on this website where further information may be found.
As a local archaeologist, Roman Golicz works both independently and in close association with The Surrey Archaeological Society. Material related to excavations conducted under the auspices of The SyAS will be briefly summarised on this website; reports related to independent work will become available here in full. Note: archaeological reports are the copyright of the author under the 1988 Copyright, Designs and Patents Act [Eliz.II c.48]. Readers are free to use the material for the purposes of private research on providing both the author and any other person or persons associated with work related to a proposed public quotation with the courtesy of a citation. In such a case, researchers are kindly asked to contact the author through this website.
